Feeling Fab in Feb
Feeling Fab in Feb
18th Feb 2025
With kids back to school and life back in full swing, it's easy to let our health slip down the priority list. Between work stress, busy schedules, and everyday life, many of us forget to take time for ourselves. February is the perfect time to start feeling fab again and we're here to help at Our Medical.
How to feel fab
Set Realistic Health Goals
Set manageable health and exercise goals that are easy to follow. Be realistic with the time that you can commit to moving your body each week. Instead of aiming to exercise every day, set a goal to exercise 2-3 times a week consistently. Your GP is always the best place to start before you embark on any new exercise plan. GP consults are free at Our Medical with a Medicare card.
Fuel Your Body with Nutritious Foods
A healthy diet is one of the easiest ways to support your health. GPs at Our Medical can offer you guidance on nutrition and help build a meal plan that fits your lifestyle. Qualified Dietitians are available at a number of our centres. For more information on the allied health services available at each centre click here.
Manage Stress Effectively
Stress can have a significant impact on both your physical and mental health. There are a number of ways you can manage stress such as meditating, physical activity, eating a balanced diet and making much important time for yourself. If you’re feeling stressed, you can speak to a bulk-billing GP at Our Medical to discuss stress management strategies.
Surround Yourself with Support
One of the best ways to stay motivated on your health journey is by surrounding yourself with positive influences. Whether it's family, friends, or healthcare professionals, support is key to success.
Make Preventative Healthcare a Priority
Regular check-ups are crucial for staying healthy and catching any potential health issues early. You don't need an appointment to see a GP at Our Medical. Simply walk-in and get ahead today to ensure you’re on track for a healthy 2025.
